TEN’s First Birthday!!! 365 days of work and patience pays off

TEN is ONE today, and if 2008 is anything to go by, 2009 will be bursting with wonderful new developments for the project and results for MEGA-CITY HERO, the design of which is complete on schedule and with the technicians being built for online testing & reform through 2009…watch this space to see how São Paulo and New York are enjoying the game!

PART TWO (scroll down to PART ONE beneath – if you didn’t yet see it!)

The Big Catch-Up! (Part One of Two) – Welcome back to the second season of The TEN Project Vlogs

It’s been a quiet few months for the vlogs, but only because it’s been such a busy few months for the project.  We’ve been growing our worldwide community of supporters, advisors and participants well beyond initial expectations for 2008.  JT, founding director, has been in TEN countries since August turning market research and conference presentations into an inspirational global buzz for the project and our soon-to-be released brand new game testing kit.  The test kit and website is being developed for the plenitude of reputable kids’ groups in São Paulo and New York who are now demanding it and excited to participate in this crucial testing phase.  Get a kick out of hearing John try to summarise the last few exciting months in a two-minute vlog (he doesn’t quite make it – hence the part one & two’s)

GAMES for CHANGE 2008 – New York

An unbelievable week, an amazing conference, a giant leap forward for the project and confidence booster. I had a wonderful meeting with top game designer, author and producer Matt Costello (Doom3, numerous Disney projects and countless other successes), who has experience working with the ten year old age group, was very supportive and is helping us brainstorm. While we follow up card game play between São Paulo and New York, we’re also dangerously close to starting tech development of our first online browser game prototype.

now I have to type up all these notes – yelp!

SÃO PAULO > TICK

Extraordinary São Paulo. Sad to leave, excited to think of returning, happy you’re in the game. What’s even more extraordinary is that all TEN’s São Paulo goals were achieved, the card game was designed, made and tested, organisations and after school groups were befriended, kids were interviewed and ridiculous amounts of fun were had.

This vlog was recorded at the airport leaving Brasil:

This is a visual representation of São Paulo, made mostly from the pictures I took while there (minus any sensible sense of composition)…
